Product Marketing Manager

Reports to:  Product Owner and GM of Sales

Hours of work: Full-time

Location: Auckland (Hybrid available)

 

What you'll be doing:

The Product Marketing Manager will own the development and execution of marketing and communications plans to share our product’s value to Ambit’s target markets. The goal? Achieve company growth and increase customer satisfaction.

 

Preferred experience:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar Product Marketing role (Tech, SaaS or PaaS company a major asset)
  • Tertiary qualification in related subject or comparable experience
  • Building and leading product marketing using growth hacking and full-stack marketing methodologies 
  • Experience working in international markets
  • Proven experience in market research and market orientation where customer satisfaction and higher engagement was achieved 
  • Communications experience, including great copywriting, campaign planning and marketing schedule execution
  • Ability to create simple demo videos and edit them in Canva or other platform is a major asset
  • Experience with social media planning an asset

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Product Marketing
  • Developing and executing go-to-market plans for SaaS-based products
  • Big picture thinker with the ability to translate complex topics into simple terms
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding customer vertical and the wider ecosystems in which they operate
  • Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget
  • Excellent interaction with product, sales and customer success teams (bridge between tech and market)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – to effectively communicate information and influence key stakeholder
  • A self-starter and self-manager who can work well collaboratively, deliver on promises, prioritise assignments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to differentiate products from the competition

 

Key objectives (KPI):
  • Accelerate the sales cycle and drive engagement into the pipeline
  • Deliver a buyer’s journey for target markets
  • Grow revenue from existing customers through product communication and other methods

 

Practical activities
  • Contributing to Ambit’s business and marketing strategy
  • Build deep understanding of the customer/personas/customer needs
  • Help formulate and communicate the product positioning and share it with the market
  • Be the voice of the customer, conduct research and improve user experience
  • Communicate the product and integration roadmap to the market
  • Regularly communicate with customers and prospects to keep them informed on product, feature development, provide tips, etc.
  • Create content, collateral and tools to assist with sales enablement and user onboarding
  • Leverage conversational events and channels to release/launch new products/functionalities
  • Create content from the data generated by Ambit’s digital employees
