No! Ambit does not use ChatGPT as part of our platform.

So what’s the difference between GPT and ChatGPT?

There is often a lot of misunderstanding around ChatGPT, GPT and LLMs in general, and the differences between them – so we’ll explain these differences and cover the core concepts.

#GPT, which stands for ‘Generative Pre-trained Transformer’ models are a series of large language models that gained a lot of attention for their ability to generate coherent and contextually relevant text. GPT models are typically trained on a vast amount of text data from the internet to learn patterns and relationships between words and phrases. Over time, the size and capabilities of these models have increased to a point where they can accurately carry out a range of tasks and generate human-like content.

#ChatGPT on the other hand, is a variant of one of these GPT models specifically designed for conversational interactions. It is optimised to generate text that simulates conversations with users. It understands and responds to prompts or questions in a conversational manner, making it suitable for chat-based applications.

At its core, ChatGPT is a large language model (LLM) that has been trained on a vast amount of text data from the internet. It has learned patterns, grammar and context from this training data, which allows it to understand and respond to a wide variety of questions and prompts in a conversational manner.

#LLMs (such as ChatGPT) typically take a prompt and generate a completion using this prompt. You can think of a prompt as the instructions for the model e.g. answer the following question, write me an email, write a blog post on a specific topic etc. The completion is the content that is generated by the model using the prompt.
